Allowing Retroactive Amendments to Application for C&F - T14
Hey All -
I was wondering if anyone had any insight into how/which law schools allow you to alter your original law school application in order to more fully comply with future C&F. Due to a lack of space on the law school app, I slightly embellished my job title to accurately reflect the responsibilities that I helped out with. This title I listed was definitely not correct (imagine Manager vs. Salesperson), and therefore on my C&F I am writing the correct job title. Since C&F regularly compares the employment history on the C&F app with the law school app, I wanted to edit the app.
I had responsibilities that were well beyond my level, and the only way to reflect that was in the 60 character-limited job title box. At the time, I really thought what I was doing made total sense in order to reflect my time commitments, but when looked out from an outsiders' perspective, I see how it could be viewed as lying. Since I would rather not have my C&F examiner have this initial impression of me, I was hoping to dispel the discrepancy between the two applications.
Thoughts on how to approach and/or if schools are actually willing to amend your app at a high T14?

Not T14 although I am a 2L and I just recently disclosed to my law school, something that I realized should have been disclosed on my law school application and which will DEFINITELY need to be disclosed on Bar C&F
After meeting with the Dean I was basically told it would probably not be a problem and I had to write up an official letter requesting amendments and I turned it in to them.
I think it's better to disclose, but whatever happens I hope everything works out for you.

What's the deal with something that will likely come up in C+F but that was not asked for in the school application then?Anonymous User wrote:Not T14 although I am a 2L and I just recently disclosed to my law school, something that I realized should have been disclosed on my law school application and which will DEFINITELY need to be disclosed on Bar C&F

It was probably asked in the LS app - only thing that wouldn't really have been referenced at all would be mental illnesses/addictions. For those, the bar wouldn't expect the LS to know since the LS never asks anything remotely related

If it wasn't asked in your LS application you didn't have to disclose it. If the Bar asks, make sure you answer honestly though.Anonymous User wrote:What's the deal with something that will likely come up in C+F but that was not asked for in the school application then?Anonymous User wrote:Not T14 although I am a 2L and I just recently disclosed to my law school, something that I realized should have been disclosed on my law school application and which will DEFINITELY need to be disclosed on Bar C&F
