Vault firms that haven't paid 2012 bonuses

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jan 31, 2013 9:23 pm

What is the deal with V100 firms officially headquartered in NYC that haven't made 2012 bonus announcements yet? Think - Paul Hastings, Fried Frank, Willkie Farr, Dechert, Pillsbury, Chadbourne, etc.

Ummm..... sucks for them? If the announcement from A&P is any indicator then they may break rank and hand out below "market" bonuses. This seems to be part of a growing divide among law firms between the haves and have nots (see http://www.economist.com/node/18651114).

Wouldn't hold it against firms that haven't announced it; some firms regularly announce at certain times, and that includes at some points in the new year. For historical practice, search the ATL archives.

I know some firms are on a non-calendar fiscal year. Some firms just do bonuses/seniority bumps at different times in the year for that reason.
