Thanks for the advice/insight everyone!

I decided to cut my losses. Yes, it was tough telling family/friends/girlfriend, but in the end, they were cool.

I guess it goes to show, just go with your gut and pursue something you can at least put half of your heart in.

I have a few international job leads, fingers crossed 8)
