What license when working for a regional office of Fed Gov?
Quick and perhaps silly question. Lets say you get hired working for a fed gov agency in a regional office not in DC. Would you still need to waive into DC or is the state bar of the location you'll be working at all that is required? Always wondered if working for the fed government (regardless of where) meant automatically having to waive into DC.

No, you don't have to be admitted in DC to work for the federal government. You just need to be admitted somewhere. It probably doesn't even have to be the state where you're working, since you'll be appearing in federal court, not state, and federal districts usually allow admission of government attorneys based on admission to a state, but it doesn't matter which. (I will start working for the feds in the fall; I'm admitted in state X, and will be working in the district of state Y, and neither are DC.)
