Classes for Commercial Real Estate
I took a job as a RE attorney. What are the bread and butter courses that I absolutely need to take? Im thinking Secured, RE Transactions, Bankruptcy, Partnership Tax. Anything else?

Also, a totally non-hijacking question, For the 0Ls out there, what would be the best law school classes to take if one were seeking a career in real estate?

I mean, we just answered this right above your post with those lists.
Forgot Business Drafting I guess. But you'll be interviewing after 1L, so none of this matters unless you know you've been slotted for that practice group.

Business drafting is good, as is commercial leasing and real estate finance. Our school also offers a really great course on real estate development. We have a prof who is a retired GC of a big local developer who teaches three practical courses on various aspects of real estate law. It's good shit, but I realize it's unique to our school.
