Westchester County Court clerkship

Postby countyer » Wed Nov 21, 2012 11:37 pm

Would this be worth anything? Assume NYC T2 school with medium grades.

"County Courts, located in each county outside New york City, have exclusive authority to conduct trials in felony matters, while sharing authority with local City and Town and Village Courts to handle trials in misdemeanor cases and other minor offenses. County Courts also have limited authority over cases involving claims for money damages up to $25,000." http://www.nycourts.gov/admin/NYCourts-IntroGuide.pdf

Looks like they have original jurisdiction for all the felony cases.

Better than being unemployed. Not a big resume-builder or career-starter though. Might be worthwhile if you really want to be an ADA in that county or something, but private firms won't really think much of it.
