FTC BC 2L offer rates?

From this board, I have gathered that FTC BC hired half their interns last year but hired more in previous years. Is there a source where I can get the official numbers? How is the "fiscal cliff" supposed to affect agency hiring?

I did not get any big law offers, so I'm probably going to fax in my acceptance letter regardless. But knowing how viable this is as a long-term plan would be helpful.

In the past, almost all of the paid BC 2L interns were given offers for permanent employment. However, this depends heavilly on budget. In 2011, less than half of the interns were given offers because of looming budget cuts. If the fiscal cliff happens, the figure may be even less this time around. Offers are based on a combination of luck (which "shop" you end up in and how many other interns in that shop) and performance, so be there from the early AM until late at night to maximize your chances. It is far less secure than a firm summer program, which was not true even as recently as 2010, when almost all the interns got an offer.

Yeah, hope our newly reelected President finds more ways to bypass a dysfunctional Congress ...

The Constitution's separation of powers were written based on the assumption of a functioning Congress. Today, that is an incorrect assumption.
