3L non-biglaw job search question

how the hell do i go about it?

i havent done any mass mailings--when do i do this? can i do it during break or is it better to wait for spring? where do i look for jobs? I feel so lost.

for reference: roughly top 34% at t2 in nyc, no journal

Go to any and all networking events. Go on to martindale.com to find lists of smaller firms in or around NYC--email partners or recruiting contacts there and try to set up informational lunches/interviews, during which you can try to skillfully mention the fact that you are looking for work in their field. Also, talk to your CSO and see what they recommend you do.
