I know, those employment status things are...not exactly transparent. I haven't had any notice they've rejected me yet, but yes, they're going to reject me. Probably I just haven't bugged them for an update yet. :P

Was "not selected" from here Monday night. I actually forgot to withdraw, but a little surprised I didn't get an interview because I had relevant experience and good (CoA) credentials.

Still in reviewing applications limbo. I thought I had a good shot, but apparently not! I'll go ahead and x this one off my list.

Is there a different status than "sent to specialist for review" or will that status change once I'm rejected?

I have "sent to subject matter expert for review" (USAJOBs just says "reviewing applications," but if I click through to the CFPB site I get the subject matter one).

Edited to add: the status does change once you're officially rejected; I applied to the Dept of the Interior through USAJOBs, and had "referred to selecting official" for a while, until it changed to "not referred to selecting official." (Though I think "rejected by selecting official" would have been much more accurate!)

Same as above. I would think that even if we were in the running, we would have received a phone call to set up an interview at this point. Just my thinking.

Mine said "Sent to Subject Matter Expert for review" on the CFPB website since I applied so I don't think that means anything

Yeah, I'm quite sure it just means they're reviewing applications (didn't mean to suggest any differently in any other posts, I was just being nitpicky about the specific language being used).

Yeah, because that's an impartial source.
