2nd half summer mailings

Postby wcarlwilson » Tue Sep 25, 2012 10:47 am

Looking to get a second half summer gig. Going to have to find it by mass mailings. Should I put in my cover letter or email that I have a 1st half gig? Say the firm? Tell them I'm only looking for a second half? Leave it out and hope that I have the chance to disclose it in an interview?

I think that sounds fair and good to make your availability clear up front. You don't have to say you have something for the first half, though, just say "I'm looking for an internship from August-September," or whatever.

that's a smart way of going about it, thanks a lot!

On this same topic, does anyone know what types of internships (judicial, gov, in-house, PI) are most flexible with start and end dates?
