DC firms that hire clerks?

Postby Anonymous User » Fri Sep 21, 2012 12:16 am

Are most of the DC firms open to hiring clerks who didn't work there 2L summer? They all say they invite applications from clerks on their websites, but I couldn't find anything here about clerks looking specifically at DC. I have an East Coast D. Ct. clerkship (non SDNY/EDNY/DDC/EDVA) and my current firm is in NYC. I like the firm and the litigation work, but just not crazy about the city. Are any firms more interested than others in clerks? Does it matter if I have taken admin law or not? What about other east coast cities, like Boston or Philadelphia, assuming no ties? I know this is kind of broad, so any insight on any of this is appreciated!

Try McGuireWoods, though their office is small.
