Get one? (You can have things faxed to a Kinko's [FedEx? whatever they call themselves now] for you - call them, get the fax number, give that out, go pick up documents later.)

My question is - dumb and arrogant as it sounds - does anyone know if people commonly get interviews with more than one component? It's clearly possible, but I don't know if it's one of those things that never actually happens in reality. I'm just trying to figure out how long I should wait to see if I get another e-mail, before sending in the travel form (since we're only supposed to send it in once, and not everyone interviews in DC...).

I've heard of that for SLIP but not the Honors Program. WHy would the # of interviews you have make a difference in the travel form?

Because the travel form asks you to indicate whether your interviews are all in DC or if some are outside of DC, and if you were interviewed by multiple components, you could have interviews in a variety of places. Which you wouldn't know until you heard.

There are people who make a lot less. 64k is not bad straight out of school. Try being a single mother who makes minimum wage. I think those making 64k can survive.

By not having to pay the medical and therapy bills that BigLaw will inevitably impose on me.

I had my law school career services office fax it for me. I put down their fax number and then they notify me when they get something from DOJ.

My career services just told me that they don't want to be responsible for receiving/notifying me, even if I came by and checked periodically. Any other options? Kinkos/FedEx will actually hold onto incoming faxes for you?

Wow. That's kind of ridiculous of your career services. Anyway, yes FedEx will do that:

That is really crappy of your CSO! Yes Kinkos/Fedex holds them. Call your local one to ask about the process. But I've used them before. They just have it at the desk for you to pick up when you arrive. I don't think they notify you though so you'd have to check every day.

OCIJ here too. Anyone else receive two emails and have a slight heart attack thinking they had been selected for two interviews? Because I did.

I'm the first OCIJer up there... and I did too. I was so excited and then had to temper my enthusiasm.

Second OCIJ-er - me too! That was a bit of a bummer.

Has anyone else still not gotten their component-specific email (but has been selected for an interview)?

For those selected for OCIJ, do you interview with a particular location, or do you interview wherever is closest to where you currently live for all potential locations?

They interview in Falls Church, VA (EOIR HQ), San Diego, New York, and San Antonio. Whatever is nearest to you.

Yes. What 3 components did you select? Civ, Crim, and USAO here.
