What questions should I ask at my "second look" with a firm?
Have an offer where they invited me back in for a "second look".
My initial thoughts are to ask associates about: hours, how they are treated by partners, how long people tend to stay at the firm, social environment, making partner, exit options, getting assigned in dept. requested, stability of the firm, how much responsibility they get, day in the life etc.
Are these appropriate questions?
Also, I am scared to ask partners about any of that (I'm not even sure if I should ask associates)...what do I ask them?
Thanks!

Well...I asked basically all of those questions at least once at my initial callbacks without very negative results. You should be fine when it's in your hands.

Bump. Anyone care to share their experience with second-look interviews once you have received an offer? I'm going to a couple in NYC this coming week and a bit unsure of how pointed / candid to be in my questions. Are all of OP's questions fair game? I also wonder about the possibility to relocate to another office down the line e.g. if personal circumstances change, but don't want to burn bridges before I get a full-time offer after the summer.

Also having a hard time trying to figure out whether certain questions are more appropriate for juniors vs. partners. Some of OPs questions seem like they'd be better answered by a partner.

Related question: Is there an appropriate way for me to ask for a second-look (out of town candidate)?
