I'll be compiling the stats into more useful groupings in a few months once most people have completed the process.

School: HYS
Market(s): Boston, DC, and one of ATL/SF/LA/CHI
Approximate class rank: below median, around bottom third
Law review: Secondary
Work experience: About a year
IP background: No
Anything else that might have an impact? diversity, very good interviewer
Screening Interviews: 30
Callbacks received: 16
Callbacks accepted: 10
Offers w/ vault ranges: 4 offers (vault irrelevant since I didn't do NYC.. all paid market), 2 post-cb dings
How many firms just didn't get back with you with a rejection/callback? I ended my process early so never heard back from 4 places post-cb
Accepted: V25 just for reference
Thank-you notes sent: Maybe 3. Sent them early on but stopped.
Notes: Echoing others, Vault rankings are meaningless outside of NYC. Most of my offers were superior to any V10 options in that market.

School: T50
Market(s): The state the school is located.
Approximate class rank: 15%
Law review: Secondary Journal
Work experience: Decent WE during undergrad.
IP background: No
Anything else that might have an impact? No.
Screening Interviews: 20
Callbacks received: 6
Callbacks accepted: 3
Offers w/ vault ranges: 1 non-vault, NLJ 250.
How many firms just didn't get back with you with a rejection/callback? I didn't hear from several, but I stopped looking once I got the offer from my #1 choice.
Accepted: NLJ 250
Thank-you notes sent: Sent to most of the screeners and CB interviewers. I think it helped somewhat. I think they matter more outside the big cities.
Notes: Firms are slow to get back to you here. The timing is different than what I expected after reading TLS.

School: HYS
Market(s): DC (primary), SF/SV
Approximate class rank: Top 5-10%
Law review: Secondary Journal
Work experience: One year of non-impressive WE.
IP background: No
Anything else that might have an impact? 1L SA
Screening Interviews: 16
Callbacks received: 10
Callbacks accepted: 8
Offers w/ vault ranges: 5 offers: 1 V5, 2 V25, 2 V50. On the regional Vault rankings, which are probably more useful for D.C., 3 of the top 6 and two less prestigious firms with good litigation departments.
How many firms just didn't get back with you with a rejection/callback? 2, but I suppose the cycle isn't completely over for my school.
Accepted: V25.
Thank-you notes sent: Not for screeners. Many but not all callbacks--I wouldn't send one if I really had nothing good to say, and I got lazier toward the end.
Notes: White male. Enthusiasm and ties mattered a lot. I had a difficult time convincing Bay Area firms I actually wanted to be there, and did more poorly in SF/SV than classmates with much lower grades. Overall at my school, grades were important but not as determinative as some think: the most selective firms mostly seemed to be looking within the top quarter or so for good personality fits or other criteria, rather than exclusively calling back/hiring those at the tip-top of the class.

School: HYS (transfer from T30)
Market(s): NYC & LA
Approximate class rank: Top 5% at T30
Law review: At T30
Work experience: About 4 years
IP background: No
Anything else that might have an impact? LGBT; I think I interview well; from NYC; worked in LA
Screening Interviews: 29
Callbacks received: 16
Callbacks accepted: 11
Offers w/ vault ranges: 8 offers (1 V5, 1 V10, 2 V15, 1 V25, 1 V80, 1 V100, 1 mid-sized not ranked)
How many firms just didn't get back with you with a rejection/callback? All got back. Caveat to above--the V100 is a very small office w/ hardly any SAs. They took a while and got back to me after I accepted an offer seeing if I would take an offer in a certain department. I'll take that as an offer.
Accepted: V25
Thank-you notes sent: Sent to all interviewers for seven firms. Others I didn't send to b/c of laziness or really quick responses (same or next day). I got four offers w/ no thank you letters, and I got rejected from three firms with thank you letters. Seems to me there is no correlation.

How many firms just didn't get back with you with a rejection/callback? Half my screeners never got back to me. The 5 non-offer callbacks were all confirmed dings. (Was sweating bullets at the end there because my offer was my last shot!)
Thank-you notes sent: Only sent to callback interviewers. Typically were short and included one or two anecdotes from the interview.

How many firms just didn't get back with you with a rejection/callback? A couple. Most rejected me shortly after screeners if they didn't want to callback.
Accepted: V50-60
Thank-you notes sent: Sent to all post callback. I did handwritten stationary thank yous.
Notes: Firms were a bit slow. I was given a time pressured offer that resulted in the additional offers. I did not hear back from two of the firms. They asked if I could get an extension, but I didn't feel comfortable asking for an extension from one of the firms that was quick to respond because of the time pressure.

It can mean either. I usually mean 7-14. In any case, it probably doesn't matter (MVP aren't generally any better than DCNG though an argument can be made for either P or G being a bit different).

cycle is just about over, will update again once completely over

School: CCN
Rank: bottom 1/3
Target Markets: NYC, CA
WE: 4 years big4 accounting, CPA
Journal: Seconday
IP: No
Sex: Male
URM: Yes, MA
Mass Mail Applications: ~100 targeted
Mass Mail Screeners: 2
CBs offered from mass mail: 0
OCI Screener Interviews offered: 39
OCI Screeners Accepted: 39
CB from OCI: 12 (all NY firms)
Total CB offered: 12 (V30 - NLJ 250)
CB Accepted: 12
Dings (post CB): 4 so far (will update as more results come in)
Offers: 2 NLJ 250
Accepted: NLJ 250
Thank you notes: Yes for every CB except last one. Got offer from 1 firm that I sent letters, 1 that I didn't.
Other: I have very strong interviewing skills. I did as many mock interviews as I could get my hands on, and all gave me very positive feedback. I think I did something like 5 mock interviews in total. So, while you can outperform your grades, they are still a factor for sure in my anecdotal experience.

I feel that my WE was a huge factor, I spent the majority of all my interviews discussing working at a big4 firm (interviewers asking me questions about it, not me trying to force it into the conversation). So if you have WE, I would make sure to sell the hell out of it, you are bringing something to the table that others aren't.
