You're probably right. I just have to live with a shitstain on my resume for the rest of my career.
Shifting gears, anyone consider Peace Corps after lawl school? Would it be feasible to parlay that into an IHR legal jerb afterwards? I don't have IHR coursework or legal internships, but I did intern abroad with an NGO in undergrad and have the requisite foreign language proficiencies.

had a callback style interview 16 days ago. the firm told me they'd make a decision in about 2 weeks. should i e-mail them to reiterate my interest and to ask where they are in the process? or should i just wait?

So apologies if this has been asked before, but when firms want "1-3 years experience," can 3Ls apply anyway? Possibly with my clinics and summer experiences it all adds up to a year, I guess. Although at this point, will they even give 3Ls a glance or is everything gonna have to wait until after the bar?
Also, would appreciate some words of optimism or, I don't know, something. I spent pretty much this entire semester very depressed due to a significant change in my personal life. I should not have let it get the best of me, but it did, and as a consequence, my job search suffered. I am kicking myself now for letting it get so late in the semester without doing much of anything besides check Symplicity and other job boards sometimes and go to a few networking events here and there. I know it's 100% my fault, but I can't change the past. So here we are in April. My resume is nothing special. Above median (hard to know exactly by how much, because my school doesn't release class rank, but definitely closer to the middle than the top), T20, with LR. Even if I have to wait until after the bar (which is obviously quite likely at this point), I want to believe I'll get a job, somehow, somewhere. Am I screwed for not doing anything until now? I hope not.

This has been debated heavily in the Vale. Apply anyway to job postings requiring 1-3 years of experience. Who knows, you might get lucky. What else are you going to do--sit around and watch Netflix?

You're going to be fine. You'll probably get a job - almost everyone does eventually. A lot of jobs open up post bar. Relax, plenty of time to fix everything. Relax. It's going to be OK. Look back through this thread - almost everyone in the Vale got a job eventually.
On another note, what the fuck happened in here? I'm gone for a couple goddamn months and not only did the last three to five pages never need to happen but y'all let anon above go without any encouragement. Seriously disappoint.

Probably give it another week before e-mailing. They could have had something come up and haven't quite made the decision yet. Or, they meant closer to three weeks when they said "about 2."

I also have 2 pages. I find it very hard to predict what interviewers will find interesting. I get a lot of questions on experiences that I wouldn't say are my most important or relevant.
But also I see a lot of 2 page resumes where people are just really bad at formatting and have giant wasted spaces.

Hoping to be jumping out of this thread soon. Had two rounds of interviews with a firm and recently did a conflicts check after the two interviews. Waiting to hear back. The anticipation is absolutely killing me right now.

I'm sorry but if you're under 30 then 2 pages is not OK unless you are some kind of virtuoso who started a big corp, won a peace prize, or invented something important. In which case this is probably not the thread you'd be frequenting. Not trying to be hurtful but that's what I've always been told and it makes a lot of sense. And I'm being generous with using 30 as the floor.

Considering some of the ridiculously accomplished people I've met that still had one-page resumes, I would agree that a two-page resume seems improper for most 3Ls or recent grads.
Is a two-page resume a death knell? Doubtful. But in a situation where brevity is likely beneficial, I think you would be putting yourself at a disadvantage by having two pages.

As someone who is in the process of selecting an intern, two pages on a resume is instantly annoying.
