This one specifically? I wish they put a posting date on it, or took it down when it was filled.

I just applied like two days ago, but I don't have journal experience, haha. So i should get dinged quick if they haven't filled it already.

How long has the posting been up?

Nothing. I guess we'll have to wait until after November 1.

We can only hope symplicity wakes up after November 1st.

I do not know. November - February, according to the wisdom of previous years, is when Simplicity is completely, completely dead. But yeah, this has been really weird. I remember last year firms like WilmerHale/some DE firm/and the traditional NYC powerhouses looking into October whereas now it is just pathetic.
I also mass mailed and did not get one positive response. Gunning in substantive courses, mass mailing on my free time, life as a 3L for me.

IDK. I was combing through my school's job bulletins from last year and there was nothing all year. 3L hiring is just a general ghost town.

EDIT: most of those firms looking in October would want students with offers so it's not like it would have made a difference. I think this Nov. 1st thing is a red herring though.

Monday. Hiring Partner emailed me then and said they'd filled it. Got another rejection email today.

Wait, what?

They said they filled the position on Monday, then rejected you again today? Odd. I applied right around the same time but haven't been acknowledged besides the automated message. Should probably expect the same email soon.

I have a contact at the firm and he/she told me that's what they believed.

Well things change all the time, so it's very possible. Too bad I can't swing anything but litigation with my resume.

Anyone else hear from Perkins Coie recently?

Looks like the Perkins page got updated. Haven't heard anything but it looks like the Palo Alto office filled the position.

It's been on their website since August but apply. Who cares at this stage?

When it was posted?

Original Anon here: there was one posting a long time ago for real estate position, (probably back in august). but this posting just came up this week with new language, so it seems like a revised/new posting to me. doesn't hurt to apply if you haven't i guess.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
