Panic Time?

Just got a post-cb rejection from a firm that, last year, had a 75% CB-> Offer ratio. My grades are in line with the firm, so I'm thinking it's my interviewing. Is it panic time? I did some mock interviews with career services before OCI and have been trying to incorporate their feedback, but it's hard. I wouldn't consider myself a naturally good interviewer, but am unsure how to improve or even exactly what's wrong. I have 13 callbacks from OCI, half in NYC half in secondary markets, and have already been rejected from two of them in a non-NYC market (done six so far).

Definitely not panic time. You've only been rejected from a third of the callbacks you've done, and you've only done half the callbacks you received. There is still plenty of time both to hear good news and to up your game. If you feel like you made a connection with anybody at the firms that rejected you, reach out and ask if they might be willing to pass along some feedback. Barring that, get in touch with the recruiters for these places, as they're usually happy to spend a couple minutes giving feedback. You mentioned that you're working on incorporating feedback from your career services office. Mind if I ask what that feedback was?

You have 10-11 more opportunities for an offer - more opportunities than most people get after OCI. Panicking is the only thing that can tank your chances.

If you got 13 callbacks your interviewing isn't that bad.

This. Besides, OCI outcomes are looking a good bit worse this year, especially in secondary markets. The firm that had a 75% CB --> offer rate last year could easily go down to 33% this year.

Also had 13 callbacks last year. Didn't get an offer until after my 8th CB (offer call came in Sep. 12). Got 3 more offers before it was all said and done. No idea what I fucked up on my early interviews, but it must have been something consistent.

Keep the faith- it's still early.

OP here. Thanks for the advice everyone, I appreciate it. To the person who asked about the feedback from career services: it was mostly make better eye contact and smile more, I've been making an effort to do both. I have good stats so I think that's how I got so many CBs, but I'm worried that my interviewing is going to sink my chances.

I will say that since I've been doing so much interviewing I no longer get nervous before any interview. But of course now I'm worried that I'm not nervous. lol. can't win at this game.

I think 13 CBs is winning, son.

Blowing 13 CBs isn't entirely unheard of.
I blew all of my interviewers, and no offers

I agree. I blew 15 straight CBs last year and finally converted on my 16th and last CB. I suggest OP do more research into the firms and offices he is going to. Also, I suggest OP develop more "stories" about why firm x is special. Being able to give 3-4 fact-specific reasons for each firm will help and wouldn't have been an issue at the screener stage.
