I haven't heard anything either and I had my second round a month ago. Has anybody heard about a third round interview?

Rejection from New York County almost two months after 1st round. Actually fairly surprised--I spent two summers in a large DA's office (not NY, though) and had a lot of criminal course work.

E-mail, but my mail in NYC is so spotty that it is possible that it was sent snail mail, returned, and then they emailed.

Do you mind sharing your stats? (school range, approx class rank?)

T14, around top 1/3, 2 summers in a different DA's office. I felt bad coming out of the interview, but thought it would at least be good enough for a 2nd round.

Ehh, whatever, don't count yourself out yet. I really did not feel great coming out of the interview, which may have been what did me in. I wouldn't worry about it.

To be honest, the question that tripped me up the most was why I was applying to the New York County DA's office, but not like Bronx, Kings, etc. He asked if I was applying to the other counties (I am not), and when I said I am not, he asked why only New York county. I still really don't have a legitimate reason, and I bumbled around for a while.

He also asked me a couple hypos in the initial interview, which I did not expect until round 2 or 3, so although I had glanced over what could potentially show up, I had not prepared for them as much as I should have.

Other than that, it was pretty much what you would expect. Why do you want to be a ADA? What did you do at the other DA's offices? etc.

As of 1 week ago they had not yet given any offers. They had just started third rounds.

No word back yet, but a few friends have gotten calls. Anyone know when they typically finish third round interviews in the Bronx/when they give offers?

Offers can come in anytime between mid-December and the day before orientation. Typically December-February though.

I wouldn't worry too much about stats. I have a second round with lower stats. I agree with above poster that you have a feeling coming out of the interview. I happened to feel pretty confident coming out of it, although you can never be too sure with hypos.

Rejected from Manhattan via snail-mail. Had my third round interview around two months ago and interned there this summer.

Sorry to hear that. What was the third round like? Did you leave the interview feeling badly about it or did you leave thinking you did well?

Offers have been extended at Bronx DA's office. Don't know if they'll come in waves or if that's it. Based on last year should be more to come.

Do you happen to know when the people who received offers had their third round interview? Thanks!

Considering that Bronx DA has extended offers, is it safe to assume that third round invitations are over?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
