Interviewed at Bronx DA late August. Got a call for a 2nd round last week.

I've been reading through past years threads and can't really seem to get an idea for a timeline for Manhattan. Does anyone know when they generally do the first major round of invites for round two and three interviews?

I don't think they do strict rounds; the sense I had was that it just depends on the timing of the individual's application. I think I've read of people who've already had second round interviews this year.

I think last year most of their offers went out by the end of December.

I applied right up against the application deadlines and that was like almost a month ago (some large offices don't have deadlines, but most of the deadlines I know of have passed). Some people applied in august.

If you want an office that isn't huge with a large entering class, then you may just have to wait until after you pass the bar. The small offices I've applied to all said "get back to us when you've passed the bar in our state."

Go to each office's website and check their deadlines. There may be one or two NYC DA offices that are still excepting applications.

I just did a second round with the Bronx today. First round with Manhattan later this week. Dinged from Queens with no interview and still nothing from Brooklyn. Sent out apps in August.

At what point would you suggest following up with the Manhattan DA? It's been a bit over a month since my first round at this point.

I think they're just being exceptionally slow this year. I'm in a similar situation.

Post-hurricane bump. Any updates? I had Bronx round 1 a month ago and am getting concerned that I haven't yet heard anything; a friend of mine had Round 2 scheduled shortly after the first round. Is this all just random or is a long wait a bad sign?

/\ I didn't hear anything from BXDA either for awhile and got worried, so I emailed. Turned out they needed my Letters of References before Panel Interview -- which is not what the ADA told me at round1.

Long story short - you should email to find out if your application package is complete. But no reply is better than a rejection, no?

anyone hear from queens? did my first round back in Sept at OCI. Emailed them about second round over 10 days ago. Got no response. No one else in my school has heard from them either. Could be they just have no money to hire.

I seond this! I got called for a second round and they told me to complete my application package before I come in for the interview. Again different from what they told me at OCI. Send them a quick email. Second rounds are still going on.
