I am assuming the lack of a response implies that nobody has heard from Queens regarding final decision after executive interview?

This waiting game is ridiculous but well worth it depending on the result

Nope, but when I spoke to Helene recently she said they're starting to make offers. Officially in panic mode.

I have heard they have "started making offers" re Queens for Fall.....

I have no idea how many are being hired in Nassau, but I do know that offers are being made now through the first week in May. (this is directly from DA Rice).

Do you know if DA Rice is done interviewing candidates? I was under the impression that at the conclusion of the interview process she was going to review everyone and make her decision then.

Im pretty sure she's still interviewing candidates. I just had my final interview this past week...I've been interviewing with them since september.

So regarding Queens & Nassau

Nassau: I know some people who had interviews with DA Rice have received an email informing them that they are in a "pool" and to not expect contact for a few weeks; I interpret that to mean they are on a waiting list and as DA Rice will be making offers the next few weeks, she will look at that group after initial offers are made....Has anyone gotten an offer yet?

Queens: I have heard that they are starting to make offers, but that is only what I have heard and I know of no one who has yet to be extended an offer....Has anyone gotten one yet?

I have not heard of anyone who received an offer from Nassau yet, but I heard from a classmate who received an email that he was placed on a "hold list," not the "pool" that you mentioned. I dont know if we are speaking of the same thing and if it is the same email?

I am not sure, but would think the same. I didn't get email, but would not think they would send two versions of an email which is essentially saying the same thing.

I am keeping my fingers crossed, I wonder if you didn't get an email, I assume that is good? Who knows with this process anymore. All worth it I am sure

Yeah I did not receive an email either. Hopefully it is a good thing.

Anyone read the NY Times articles on the Bronx courts and DA's office these last few days? Doesn't particularly look great for the DA's office.

Anyone interviewing at Westchester? I applied many months ago, and I guess was placed on a waiting list....I just got a letter today instructing to contact them for interview. Anyone else???

Can I ask when you originally applied, and is this the first time you were contacted by them? I sent my cover letter/resume to them about 2 months ago, but I assumed it was too late in the game and I missed that boat. Maybe there still could be hope after all.

I applied in September, and heard back a few months later informing me that they were not currently hiring. I just received a letter today indicating to call for an interview. That said, the letter did note that there may not be any positions available, and it may just be for a waiting list of sorts. We shall see.

There is always still hope!!!

I have a friend who was offered a position with Nassau a few days after interviewing in March. If you haven't heard within a week or so you're probably on the "hold" list.

I think if you are on the hold list you got an email. You are incorrect in that assumption irrespective of what happened to your friend. That nassau comment above me is blatantly incorrect

Did your friend take the offer? And I agree that if you are on the hold list you would have received an email at some point.

It has helped tremendously. I see all my answers in the prior 10 pages. Words cannot even begin to explain how helpful that is.

I wonder if the final rounders at Nassau will here from DA Rice this week
