Chances at V40+ Firms

Postby Anonymous User » Sun Aug 26, 2012 10:58 pm

I am currently a 2L student at a lower 14 school with a 3.347 GPA. I am hoping to practice in a NYC Big Law firm, V40 or higher. Chances?

You did/are doing OCI now, so you could give us that information. That GPA sounds around median-ish. How did your pre-OCI mass mailings go?

That's also random and needs to be explained to give worthwhile advice. Some of the firms in the V40-V50 space are the absolute top-tier in certain fields (Freshfields-Int'l arb, Irella-IP Lit, WSGR-Tech, Hogan-Lit) or top of their markets (Baker Botts, Dechert, Goodwin, Hogan).
