Some of the Schulte partners and senior associates I met were former V10 associates.

I'm not saying I would recommend Strook/Schulte over a V10 for most people in the very beginning, but as far as lifetime legal career goes, you're not losing THAT much, however much it may stroke your ego to think otherwise.

I didn't invite the comparison in the first place. I just said they are mediocre, which they are. You are the one with the injured ego.

And you can believe the last sentence of your post if that'll help you heal that bruised ego.
Ego's not bruised, breh. I'm not even interested in NYC biglawl, so vault rankings are pretty much meaningless for me.
Cool bro, well now you can stop talking out of your ass in a thread that doesn't interest you. Everyone wins.
I know a lot of people who burned out of NYC biglaw and laTTTeraled into my secondary market. V5, 10, 50, 100, whatever, didn't make that much of a difference. Probably means a bit more if you want to stay in NYC.

Yes, this definitely makes you able to make the statement you made above.

"people from many high and low ranked firms lateraled into my market, therefore exit options not significantly different.

lol.

That's the way it works around here. Firms don't really care that much.

That's really funny that you should say that, because I work at a V10 and I have friends at both of the firms in this thread who have fairly senior positions.

You're "sorely kidding yourself," so go back to reading your law books.

Edit: your statement above is dumb. No way to know where people will end up in 10 years. But exit options from V10 are superior to exit options from either of the above firms, if that's what you were implying.
Should we really have this situation where you post for a while, and then everyone learns who you are and what your firm is, and then you gchat people to ask to have posts remove that out you?

No, I just think situations where people post the specific firm or hint at what it is calls for that, but that distinction might be hard to figure out.
You are on borrowed time. You may want to act like it.

Why all the hate? They are both in the top 80 of vault rankings....
My guess would be that they are both known for their structured finance and investment management groups, but aren't as diversified or top-tier as a Fried Frank, Shearman, or Bingham, let alone a Skadden or DPW. OP presumably has 28 days with these two offers and could try to leverage them into CBs at other firms.
Use offers to leverage callbacks? How does one do that? Strook and Schulte are both known as not particularly pleasant places to work, and as previously mentioned their narrow specialization means that they are more susceptible to market fluctuations.
Wait, what's the basis for this? I haven't heard much about Schulte, but I thought Stroock's culture had a decent rep relative to larger firms?

Bumping this because relevant to my interests, and maybe we can get some more on-topic discussion this time? Thinking in terms of job security, exit options, which has the better corp/lit dept. etc.

Anon, too. Hits everything on the autist checklist.
