8/28. T14, grades are nothing special. Secondary journal. Wasn't optimistic after my CB. Had a very positive experience except for one interviewer

Silence here. Besides that one person has anyone else gotten an offer? It's hard to tell if whether you haven't heard yet means your on a waiting list or they haven't decided yet based on the lack of movement

Re: Reed Smith CB
Well, they probably made a round of first offers since we know at least that one person got an NYC offer. But since other people have also been dinged, I think it's safe to assume we are on a hold/waiting list since presumably we would also have been dinged. We will probably have to wait until the first offer rounds have expired/been declined. I'm in the same position- and I sure hope we hear soon. Here's to this week- good luck!Anonymous User wrote:Silence here. Besides that one person has anyone else gotten an offer? Anyone heard anything from DC? I'm assuming I'm in their second wave of people at this point since I have no offer but no rejection and they told me offers were going to go out two weeks ago...

Just another check in- anything recently? I've basically assumed the rejection is going to be on the way soon at this point.

Re: Reed Smith CB
I believe the culture of the NYC office is different than it is from most other RS offices, as about half of their attorneys (at the time) came over from Anderson Kill in an aborted merger, and the AKO group socializes together a fair bit. If anything, the AKO group dominates and full cultural integration/harmonization hasn't happened. I believe most other offices have been organically grown so a firm-wide culture makes more sense in those offices.Anonymous User wrote: RS is a great place to work, and I really did like the culture there. Full-disclosure: I worked in a secondary market; but I got the assumption that all offices are basically the same with culture.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
