You sure about this?
Yes. Susman doesn't take laterals either.
Yes, they do. (LinkRemoved)
Example # 2. This attorney clerked after GDC, so not a true lateral. According to LinkedIn, Harris went from V&E to SG.
Example# 3.
I also know attorneys who have lateraled out of SG.

Want to tell that to my cousin, who lateraled there?
Yeah, I now think you're wrong on all of the above.

Can anyone speak to the differences between working for Susman Dallas and Susman Houston? I've heard you travel a ton either way, so are you still basically getting the same quality of work?

Has anyone received (or gone on) a callback yet for any Susman office?

The number of Susman callbacks is insanely small. I'd like to retain my anonymity.

I also had a Susman callback. It was much like every other callback I've been on: A few questions about my resume, a few questions about my motivations, and a lot of time for me to assail them with questions of my own. The firm seems amazing. They apparently have a low cb/offer ratio so I'm not optimistic, but I'd accept an offer in a heartbeat.

What's the turnaround time on a Susman callback? I would think it'd be relatively fast, right?
Need to know for scheduling purposes.

How large are the summer associate classes? Is it pretty standard across offices?

They don't exactly have classes of summer associates. Each office usually has between one and five summers, with Houston having the most. Summer associates start at staggered times and stay only four weeks. There is no summer associate "program" so to speak.

How would you characterize the working environment around the firm? What are the people like? How do partners and associates interact? What kind of people get hired? Are all their summers classic gunners or what?
Also what's with the inverted structure involving twice as many partners as associates? Are all partners actual equity partners? How does the firm compensate for associate attrition? To what extent does the firm lateral seniors in over the heads of rising associates?

Has anyone checked in with Susman about timing (especially if you have other offers that expire soon)? Are they done with interviews for all offices? On that note, is there anyone with a callback scheduled for sometime later this month or in October?
Do offers go out on an office-by-office basis, or do they wait to complete all CBs firmwide before making offers?

This is hearsay, but I'm told that they wait until all of their interviews have concluded before making decisions. I don't know of anybody at my school who has received an offer at this point.

I have heard the same. I know of someone that has a CB this week, so we still have a bit more time to wait out.

I'm not going to give out personal info, but I think all offers went out Friday. I know they decided on offers all at once.

I was told at least LA was still doing CBs this week and would not render offers until after all CBs were completed.
