Re: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
Here are some back of the envelope calculations: OCC visitied about 35 - 40 OCI/Career Fairs this year and interviewed, on average about 10 people at each place. That means about 400 first round interviews. For every OCI/Career Fair person interviewed, there were two applicants who applied for a screening interview that weren't granted an interview. So that's another 800 applicants. And we also get resume drops and applications from clerks (who I don't think we give first round interviews to), so that's another 400 applicants. So all told, 1600 applicants, for approximately 40 callbacks, for approximately 8 spots. Just some guesses.Anonymous User wrote:Thanks for your insight with all of this. If I make it past the screener, perhaps I'll reach out with questions about callback interviews. For now, I'm curious if you know how many schools the OCC visited this fall for on-campus interviews? Also, any clue how many write-in applicants receive initial, telephone interviews?
Thanks again!

Do you think it is still possible to apply for a first round interview, or is it too late?

ajax, I honestly don't know. They should be starting to extend callbacks soon if they haven't already. And just to let you know, they don't do callbacks by office -- they just lump all the applicants into one pool.
Edit: I heard today that they have already scheduled some callbacks.

Haven't heard anything yet either. Looks like people scheduled callback interviews in mid-late October last year. I'm guessing it will be around the same time this year.

I wish my T20 could actually get agencies to come interview on campus.

I have not heard yet, but at least they are moving. For those of you who have heard back, do you mind if I ask what your employment plan is now? I am nervous about this prospect and do not have any fallback options to speak of.
