See the title. This thread is for people at the bottom of a top 14 for a job or who have found a job from that position. Post your experiences etc. here. This thread is NOT for students at HYS. And by bottom I mean BELOW bottom 1/3 of the class. Bottom 20 percent on down. Good luck people. And I know you exist--the laws of mathematics say you do!

Anyone hoping that the laws of mathematics will save someone ranked at the bottom third/fourth of their class is delusional. Welcome to the ’12 job market.

Spent the summer contacting partners directly and setting up informational interviews. Being able to connect with an important person WHO CAN VOUCH FOR YOU is the MOST important thing. You must be personable and give them a reason to look past your grades.

Because of the bell curve and the elite factor of T-14 (and other well respected schools), seems not so long ago that median was not a dirty word and that below median was not disqualifying. One can hope that the concern over the varying degrees of median is more of a TLS phenomenon than a real world obsession.

Wow you really can't read at all can you? I'm talking about math meaning that there are people ranked below the bottom 1/3 of the class at every top 14.

Please include your rank in your post. School name isn't necessary.

Best of luck 4 sure! How many interviews do you have? I know a few classmates with over 20, maybe even 30 or so. I am fortunate that I do not have to participate in OCI, but the friends who do are stressing out given ITE.

Because of easy credit and the eagerness of banks to package more loans, seems not so long ago that no job was not a dirty phrase in the mortgage market, and no income was not disqualifying. One can hope that concern over the varying degree of unqualifiedness for a mortgage is more of a TLS phenomenon than a real world obsession.
