Will be applying there as well. T1 school, top 4%. Though as far as firms in Cincinnati go, Dinsmore is near the bottom for me.
Dinsmore historically takes a large class, just remember that several will come from UC since they have a strong relationship with that school. That has been changing in the past, so I don't know how that will play out this year.

I'm from the area and somewhat connected with some partners at the big firms in the Dayton/Cincinnati markets. I don't know all of the firms, but a lot of Dinsmore people describe themselves as a Blue Collar law firm. They all say they're willing to take on pretty much any client. They're also more willing to overlook school and grades if there is something compelling (at least more so than other firms).
Taft has a very stuffy, white starch shirt, blue suit reputation afaik. Thompson Hine is supposed to be a good firm, but they're Cincy presence isn't as strong as Taft/Dinsmore or a few others.
Frost Brown Todd seems to have a more friendly attitude than some of the other firms in town - a few Taft people I've talked to have mentioned that it is a good firm and that some Taft people lateral to frost brown, but they never mention frost brown lateralling to Taft.
I'm pretty uninformed on the other firms in town. Im curious to know why not Dinsmore too? They have good clients, most of the attorneys I know there are friendly and willing to take time to talk to me (someone that have zero connection to or benefit from talking to). They take a big summer class and have a high offer rate. I've talked to a few people who have said 50-55 hours/week is realistic. One caveat, if you're not from the area and have connections to the area things can be very tough. There are a lot of business owners in southwest ohio who are from the area and childhood friends with attorneys at the big firms. I know numerous people who have small >100 employee companies and they use Taft/Dinsmore/thompson Hine attorneys who were their high school friends. It doesn't matter what school you went to, it may be difficult to overcome this in a city as small as Cincy.

110 for 55 hr/wks in a low cost city sounds pretty nice. I don't know what firm could turn away clients in this economy. i was under the impression they were the most prestigious firm in the city, but I could be wrong.
