I'm only checking because I have things I have to do on the computer anyway (finishing up writing for work, making cheat sheets for OCI, etc.)

Just curious, what kind of notes are you making for your OCIs? I was just going to show up...

I'm curious too!

I have a general cheat sheet w/ questions and a small card with person specific info such as publications, practice area, notable cases, and hobbies/school.

also it's kind of weird that a lot of the firms people are dropping (quinn, weil, latham) are really well known and desired, but no one is dropping some of the lesser known firms

You are running a race and are in second place. All of a sudden the first placer disappears. You win.

but lets say you're in last place, and suddenly, the 3 runners ahead of you vanish. you're still in last place. that's what i don't get. we all move up, but it's relative to each other, so we stay the same.

no. if i am ranked 9 out of 20, and the top 8 people leave, i am ranked 1 out of 12.

Ya, I guess we are assuming most ppl in this thread are near the top of their class. If you are in the top 10% of your class in the top 2% leave, you stand a much better chance of increasing your class rank because the people that are "smarter" than you are now gone.

You are right though, if you are in the middle of the class it doesn't effect anything.
