Anybody else bid on this fair? I know there has been a lot of discussion about whether these fairs are worthwhile, but until I get an offer, I plan to seek out as many interviews as possible.

My brain did a stupid and I first read this as "2012 NAMBLA Fair"...
I'll show myself out.

I am participating in the MABLSA Job Fair. I agree with the OP. I am taking as many interviews as I can until I get an offer! I bid on 13 firms and I have received 7 preselects. I thought that the preselect process was complete, but I just received an preselect notification from a firm today, so I am going to continue to check the site for updates. Best of luck to all participants.

I am doing the MABLSA fair too. Bid on 13, have 8 preselects so far.
I definitely think employers can still make selections because I also got a preselect this afternoon.

Yeah I was wondering why my status went to pending from not invited.

I think the available slot column is the number of spots they have remaining. So, im guessing if it says 14, that means the employer hasn't selected students yet. If it says a lower number like 1, 5, 9, etc. that may means that they've selected students and students are beginning to accept their preselects.

Has anyone received any callbacks as a result of their MABLSA screening interview?

Nope.

I did. Since the pool is so small, I'd rather not say where, however.

Surprisingly, two callbacks here.

Are stats likely that important? They were all pre-select interviews, so probably has more to do with interview performance and perceived fit.

I think it's always helpful to show stats so future students attending or thinking about attending the fair will know what is expected to get callbacks/past trends/etc.
Also sometimes they do preselects only to have a rejection letter dated the day of the interview, so curious as to whether someone at median has a shot even if preselected

Fair enough; I'm a bit above median and have one CB so far.

I heard of one person with a CB from Kirkland. Any other firms?

Sorry this took so long. I am the anon above with two callbacks. I don't want to say the firms because the pool of students was so small, but I'll say that they are both DC and both have smaller classes.
I'm at MVP around median, secondary journal, leadership positions in law school, and prior work experience. I really think preparation and being able to drive a conversation about why you are specifically interested in that firm helps. I did not go into the weekend expecting a lot, but based on the conversations I had with these two firms, I am not totally surprised by the callback.
For future students, I would say take it as a good sign if you are preselected. It's a stressful and unpredictable process. Good luck to everyone - met some great people at the fair!
