All DC offers have been made and positions have been filled. Regional offices are still reviewing applications. This is from the most reliable source there is. Good luck to everyone in your job search!!!!!!

Re: NLRB/DOL Honors Programs and Employment Firms
I just received a second interview offer from an NLRB regional office late this past week (Thursday, Friday? can't remember). Seems plausible to me more second interview offers might forthcoming, but all I know for sure is what I just said.

I thought you were referring to DOL not NLRB.Anonymous User wrote:I just received a second interview offer from an NLRB regional office late this past week (Thursday, Friday? can't remember). That said, not all offers have been extended and accordingly, not all offers have been accepted.Anonymous User wrote:DOL has made all decisions, HQ and regional

Re: NLRB/DOL Honors Programs and Employment Firms
Yeah, this seems unclear. An earlier post indicated that DOL regional (and national) offices have all made their decisions on whom to extend offers to. Assuming this is true, does that mean that the regional offices have each extended their offers to their first choice candidates, with the "not all offers have been extended" caveat referring only to those who might be contacted if a "first pick" turns the offer down?Anonymous User wrote:That said, not all offers have been extended and accordingly, not all offers have been accepted.Anonymous User wrote:DOL has made all decisions, HQ and regional

I posted that not all offers have been extended / accepted. What I mean is that though someone may know the internal process as to whether all decisions have been made, the hiring committee hasn't finished giving out offers (checking references, etc.). And so there's still chance that someone who hasn't gotten an offer will (if someone declines, etc.)

Re: NLRB/DOL Honors Programs and Employment Firms
Any word this week from regional offices? I had final round interviews the last two weeks with two different regional offices (1 NLRB, 1 DOL). I really want to do this kind of work and am just dying here not knowing if I'm going to get an offer.
Total radio silence is a drag.
I'm guessing the total radio silence is a bad sign at this point, since (at least if I were running a regional office!) I'd want to tell my #1 choice that the choice had been made, he/she had been selected, and it was being sent to Washington for final approval. Does that seem logical? Or am I doing the typical TLS thing and freaking out over nothing?

I wouldn't sweat it just yet. I was hired by an NLRB regional office earlier following two interviews, and I didn't hear for about two weeks between the last interview and the next notification. But they did call when they selected me, after they submitted the request to DC, and then once it was approved by Washington. This happened end of November/mid December and I just only got my security paper work this last week. It's a slower process than anyone wants or likes.

Re: NLRB/DOL Honors Programs and Employment Firms
Well I just got dinged by the DOL Chicago office. Had my second interview a week ago. Oh well. I think if you get to such an advanced stage and you're not picked, it's because you weren't the right fit. And if you're not the right fit you wouldn't be happy in the job anyway, so it's best that you didn't get the offer.
