Did you call yet? I am contemplating this too. I don't want to bug but perhaps we fell through the cracks somewhere . . .

Covington DC specifically told me that callbacks take a while, that they call references, and that I wouldn't be hearing from them quickly.

I thought they did reference calls after the callback?

Oh, right, I forgot about the whole reference thing. If they are actually checking references before giving out CBs, that would certainly make everything a lot slower, both for NY and DC. Although I think someone on this thread said that at least one of the NY interviewers already gave CBs.

I don't have any idea, but I would think that if they were going to call references only after CBs, they wouldn't make you give them over until the CB itself.

Got some interesting info from Covington.

I just received a callback from interviewer EC (for Covington NY). I had interviewed with both the NY and the DC offices. And the interviewer told me when she called that their policy is that when someone interviews for both offices, they wait until both offices make a decision to let the candidate know. In my case, I was rejected by Covington DC, but given a callback at Covington NY. So if anyone else is still waiting to hear from Covington NY and also applied to another of their offices, that's probably why they're still waiting and it doesn't necessarily mean you're out of contention.
