Things are okay, I think. Not too much chatter about it, but I think that it's somewhat a timing issue. As the days go by, people seem less panicked and frustrated. Hoping that everything works out soon so that we can go back to having fun...or whatever we did last year ;)

I am still at 0 offers. Waiting to hear from two firms post-CB still, have two midlaw interviews next week for insanely below market pay, have received a lot of replies via mass mailing that summer programs are full. I keep reading about people with so-so stats picking up screeners and CBs through mass mailing big law late in the game, but it appears big law hates my resume because those same firms quickly reject me.

Probably going to be hard for anyone to PM an anonymous poster... Just saying.

6 CBs and only one offer, but it was a top choice for me in nyc.
Below median. This was brutal and the first time I ever experienced so many rejections.
Good luck to all.

Most people I know have offers. At least 75% of my friends, not counting those who want to go PI.

Out of my section, of the 30-35 I know about, 23-25 offers. Of course, self-selecting, right... those with are more likely to find a way to let you know.

I mean I struck out on 9 callbacks so I'm hesitant to say I was successful. I experienced success, but I was very frustrated by the process. I digress into semantics. I just bid strategically for firms with no mention of journals in their EIW description and also didn't exclude the secondary market that I used to live in. Other than that, I guess probably because I was able to show good grades from my first year of LS and because I did a lot of community service and internships during UG. PM me if you any more info (if that's an option on anonymous)

So I haven't heard back from 2 of my EIW firms. When does it go from a bit overdue to downright rude?

Same thing here. I sent followup emails a week ago. Heard from one, not the other. Planning to give them a call next week if I don't hear back.

Depends, I think. Were these CB firms or just EIW screeners? If they were screeners, don't hold your breath on ever hearing back. If they were CBs, I would think you'd hear back fairly soon as places wrap up their summer class selection and realize if they're getting the right yield or not.

On a separate note, I'm mildly curious about the value of journals at GULC overall. For anyone on any journal, would you say that most of your cohort has a summer gig already or are people still looking or not interested in firms?

Poster who sent emails here. They were both EIW screeners. I expected they'd both be rejections, but frankly I found it rude not to let me know my results. Given they're not hiring me anyways, why not follow up? As to your other question, I'm on main journal and I struck out, but from what I can tell I'm the exception.

I'm on main journal too and struck out. Got offers from really small firms but opted for govt instead.
