Was just thinking about this. I know people have done mass mail CBs from GULC. I also know T14 and non-T14 TLSers have done CBs. I also know T14 and non-T14 TLSers received dings via snail mail back in August.

So what happened to GULC EIW screeners?

I can't speak to this year, but as I understand it, GULC takes a ton of transfers. Those who were top 5 (people, not percent) at their T2 tend to do well because they would've been competitive anyway. Those who were top 25% at a T1 do worse because they can't brag about being absolute top of the class and firms can't really translate their position. Also, being admitted early enough to do your own OCI bidlist and seriously mass mail is critical.

So how'd we do? What is the general consensus? Do people have offers? How are your friends doing?

I find it hard to believe we only place 30% in NLJ 250.

That's because the people who haven't landed anything aren't talking about it, and the people who have cannot shut up about it.

It's gulc's stats that indicate that slightly over 30% land SA jobs in the NLJ 250. But, I think you are incorrect. Some of the people who received offers are not talking about it (myself included) so as to not out themselves in case any firms study these boards. Slightly below median (I am guessing) and received an offer at a V100 firm. Maybe it was my good looks?

Yep. Not to mention that my post was pointing out that the OP likely thinks GULC places HIGHER than 30% because they're hearing positive news from OCI more than negative news.

I tell you. Law students just like to disagree to disagree.

Slightly below median still jobless. 0 callbacks from oci. I bid well. Thought it was my interviewing but OCS said that was fine. K-jd.

Still waiting on results of an nlj and have two Cbs coming up. This sucks. And the above poster is right, people without offers just don't want to talk about it. IRL people with offers have been pretty respectful. Haven't heard any bragging which from TLS I expected.

Law review people are so bad about this. I hate hearing about all the offers when I'm in office hours. I'm hoping I'm not the only unemployed law reviewer, but I doubt anyone else is going to speak up and reveal they're not swimming in offers.

I know it's hard to do, but revealing that you don't have an offer yet is actually a good thing to do. Once my friends knew I didn't get anything from OCI, those who had offers, passed along any news they got on firms with openings. Also, a couple of friends with parents in biglaw passed my resumes to their parents once they had jobs; I got two callbacks that way.

For OCI purposes, it depends on your section. See http://www.law.georgetown.edu/campus-se ... 1-2012.cfm

While you can't necessarily figure out the median from those, you can tell the median for Section 1 will be much much lower than Section 4 or Section 7. I used a poor method and got a range of 3.22 to 3.36, depending on the section. That does however track close to the ideal 3.28-3.30 using the published curve.

had 3 CB's a couple weeks ago, rejected by CC today and Shearman last week. Top 40%, moot, polyglot, terrible interviews with CC and I feel sort of relieved despite facing an unemployed debt-ridden future.

On LR. No offers as yet. Still plugging away with mailing and got CBs from it, so don't give up hope!

Good to know I'm not alone. Did you see the spreadsheet that listed what firms the 3Ls worked at over the summer? 99% had been with a V100 firm, so I'm hoping it all works out in the end.

That spreadsheet only for those on Law Review? Because otherwise there has to be some fatal sampling flaw.
