Even though LGBT "counts" for the diversity resume collect, that won't make a difference if employers aren't looking for that type of diversity. So with enough data points, maybe we can suss out a trend one way or the other.

Also, can someone explain how the resume collects go? Is it (1) after the deadline, all of the submitted resumes are compiled and sent, (2) employers can peruse resumes whenever they want (before or after the deadline), but students can no longer submit after the deadline, or (3) employers specify what type of diversity (for lack of better phrasing) they are looking for and only get resumes that indicate a potential match? Or something else?

Thanks!

LGBT did well last year. It helps. Also do Lavender law, many get jobs through there.
ETA: On callbacks, sometimes you can ask to speak to LGBT attorneys. Do this.

I think last year it was sometime between 12 and 1. They don't always come out all at once, either, so don't be totally alarmed if you have very few in the beginning. I might just not check mine until about 2 to avoid that sickening feeling...

They're up, at least partially. 14 so far. 8 NY, 3 DC, 3 in other markets.

1-4, 8, 11, 14, 15, 16, 19, 25, 39, 48, 50 . Weird.

Annoyed: I put so much time and effort into planning my list and got fewer than so many here... WTF. Congrats to y'all, you're clearly better at this game than I :(

Don't worry about this. There are a lot of people who did not post. I would imagine somewhere between 12-14 is probably average/high average. TLS just provides a distorted view of gunners and success.

I only got 11. I really didn't have a strategy though and did it very quickly with very little research, so as much as I would have liked to get more, I got more than I expected.

Part time here - 14 screeners. 4 D.C., 8 NYC, 2 secondary markets.

1-4, 7-11, 14-15, 21, 29, 46. Not a single DC screener after #4.

Isn't this all mostly random? I mean, your bidding strategy might net you more interviews, but it was mostly up to the matching system, unless I'm mistaken. Plus, more interviews doesn't necessarily mean more callbacks. Not sure why everyone's so excited/bummed out about this.

<--17 interviews, including all of my top 10 and...#48.

Hi, thanks, would you mind if I PM'd you? Or you PM me if I can't PM "Anonymous User"? I'm a 0L who just got into the part time program off the waitlist. I don't want to interrupt the thread with my 0L stuff (anymore than I already have, lol).

I got 12........ A little disappointing b/c I really tried to be pretty darned risk-averse, spreading bids b/w DC, NYC, and Atlanta (ties). Mostly annoyed that I didn't get any of the big DC shops (no W&C, Wilmer, A&P, Hogan, Covington) when my rankings+ bid statistics should have given me at least two of them (and my grades would have given me a shot at an offer).

Among my friends, the people who have low interview counts (under 15) seem to have bid a lot of D.C. firms and not as many NY. Does this hold up with you guys?

Average according to my OCS person is about 11-13, so calling under 15 low is perhaps unwarranted. I bid 35 NY, 10 DC and 5 secondary and got 8 NY, 3 DC, 3 secondary. So not so much for me. It's really all in the order, I guess.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
