Snagged Latham & MoFo. Seemed weird to me that those two firms would have available spaces -- who would cancel after being lucky enough to get them through the lottery??

Back to backs may not be avoidable, unfortunately. If you can schedule otherwise, that's probably preferable, but if that schedule is all that you have, go for it for sure. I mean, don't NOT take an interview just because it is scheduled right after another one.

Any idea what the McDermott NY PRACTICE-SPECIFIC/private-client slot is all about?

Someone who already has an offer they would take over one of those firms, perhaps?

OCS says no back-to-back interviews. Symplicity isn't supposed to be letting us take them, but it's screwing up.

So, uh... how does that all come out when they get it fixed?

Where does it say that? I didn't see this in the EIW Manual...

I just talked to OCS, and they said:

"I checked on this and it appears that the system is allowing
this for some reason during open sign-up, but won't allow it during
lottery. It's risky to do because you're assured of being late to your
next interview, but if it's an employer you're really interested in, I
guess you may be willing to take that risk."

It seems like they didn't know that it was going on - but aren't going to do anything to "fix" it, but it's a take it at your own risk kind of thing.

Seems like a low risk/high reward type of thing, if only because the alternative is no interview with that firm at all.

Or interviewing with a different firm as one of your other open sign up interviews.

Hi guys,

One question here regarding the "scheduled interviews" tab.

Under the Column "interview room," what does the number behind "schedule" mean? Is it the room number?

Plenty more, but you can't see them until you are allowed to add interviews again. Just added QE and Kirkland.

Me too! I hate that! I know it's not a time conflict thing. I'm assuming symplicity is messing up.

So I have multiple cocktail receptions on the same night, different firms and locations. Do I RSVP for all and show my face for a bit at all OR do I RSVP for the firm I like best and stay there the whole night?
Go for a little to each one. I've read on this site that not RSVPing might send the signal that you're not interested and RSVPing and not showing up will leave your printed name tag lying on the table at the end of the night, which might also send the same signal.

I'm guessing you just got an email also?
