South Carolina Firm Positions
Anyone with knowledge of South Carolina firm hiring got any helpful tips for mass mailing there? I know it is really provincial but I have worked in SC before (albeit very briefly) and am from a neighboring state. Grasping at straw here, I know.

Whichever firm you worked at in SC--call them and find out who else they know. Otherwise it is going to be very, very difficult for you even at the bigger SC firms.
If it wasn't a law firm, it probably won't be much help. See if they know any lawyers. Push the connections you have. That's all you can do.

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread, but want to work in SC. Never lived there, but SO lives there and we'd like to live there. Would good grades at HYS combined with the SO story help, or am I out of luck because of a lack of connections?

I feel like good grades at HYS would be fine with Nelson Mullins, nexsen pruet, and Wyche if you have a compelling story and/or do the work (fiance/spouse, not random gf). Also Parker Poe's Columbia office.Anonymous User wrote:Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread, but want to work in SC. Never lived there, but SO lives there and we'd like to live there.
