Anon abuse, and there have to be at least 6 threads on how to mass mail in the first 2 pages of this forum. Try searching.

Whatever you do, do not use Legal Authority. It's a scam.

I sent hundreds, nearly a thousand, hard copy letters as a 2L and 3L. I received maybe 2 responses (and 2 interviews with non-market paying law firms).

I sent out about 75 emails to specific people that I had researched, with very personalized content, and I landed more than 5 full call backs with several offers.

Email is definitely the way to go

I have a 10% interview rate through snail mail and a 40% interview rate through e-mail.

Also, I think it was kalvano who had a super awesome thread on a good mass mailing website.

When you guys say "personalized content", how specific are you talking? My current approach is to research one particular person who specializes in a practice area that I have experience in, write something short about this person's interests, express an interest in learning from and working with this person, and then throwing in a brief paragraph about how my work experience is aligned with the experience of this person.

All in all, my email is about 150 words (which I think is enough). Does this seem personalized enough to everyone?
