Re: Penn Journals
I asked them about the journal selection and they said end of july.
ETA: final schedule comes out 7/31 so yes I suppose it's the same answer.

Re: Penn Journals
law review calls historically are made at the end of the second or third full week of July (typically Saturday). the offerees will have a day or two to accept, and then the rest of the journal decisions get made and offers are sent when practicable.

Re: Penn Journals
this is so dumb. i feel like we are at a disadvantage with no journal info on our resume. makes contacting firms harder because i feel like a slacker with no journal while i think a ton of other law schools already have their decisions
gahhhhh come on!

Sounds like they will call this Saturday then, so the other journals will have time to call next week before our final resumes on Symplicity are due (I hope)Anonymous User wrote:law review calls historically are made at the end of the second or third full week of July (typically Saturday). the offerees will have a day or two to accept, and then the rest of the journal decisions get made and offers are sent when practicable.

Re: Penn Journals
The journals will let you know on time. Just be ready to cut and paste the blurb that each journal should give you for how to cite them on your resume. This should come in the email welcoming you to the journal.
For example: Honors: Associate Editor, Journal of International Law, Vol. 32.

Re: Penn Journals
No word here. When in the day did the journals call last year? Do we have info about when journals called the year before? It would be helpful to know before regional interviews start...

Re: Penn Journals
The journals all called on Saturday July 30th last year. I got my call around 11am, most people seemed to get them in the morning and it seemed like they were trying to stagger them so they weren't calling people on the west coast too early.Anonymous User wrote:No word here. Re: Penn Journals
The "Penn Students Taking Questions" thread, pg. 59, says that journals called people 7/23/11 last year... do different journals have different days?

I mean on track for LR to call on 7/28. I don't think LR has released.Anonymous User wrote:I guess only if LR called this weekend, but none of my friends got calls, so I'm not sure if they called or notr6_philly wrote:I guess we are on track for 7/28?

Re: Penn Journals
Have they ever called people on a weekday? If LR calls on 7/28, won't other journals call even later than that (resume collection deadlines are 7/30)?

Re: Penn Journals
No idea, just reporting what a CP&P person told me. In retrospect, CP&P hasn't been very helpful with the OCI process, so maybe that information should be taken with a grain of salt.Anonymous User wrote:i thought LR regulates the release date?Anonymous User wrote:CP&P told me we'll know by the 29th at the latest.
