What is "high kent"? A 4.0? Kent starts at 3.8. I doubt the modifier is needed.
OP just meant they were stoned all the time

Any idea what Skadden and Cravath are looking for? Are they trying to recruit 3Ls for corporate, litigation, either or both? I feel like it's really bad to say you're still undecided as a 3L but if they want one and not the other, there's really no way to know...

Silence from Cravath so far for me. Anyone know if 3L callbacks work the same way as 2L callbacks (i.e. would they be calling within a few days of the screener or could we be waiting longer)?

I dont have any inside info but I am going to tell Skadden the truth which is that I want corporate. Let's all agree to post when we get CBs so that others know they are probably out of the running and can accept offers from summer firms, if applicable. I wonder how many Skadden called in from the resume drop.

Also got invited for an interview from Skadden's resume drop. Skadden asked about practice area interest before scheduling the interview, so I'm assuming they only invited people interested in groups they're actually recruiting for. No idea about Cravath though, and no call, but I don't think they generally give same-day callbacks. Any idea how many 3Ls Cravath interviewed overall? Did both Skadden and Cravath have smaller summer classes than they wanted this year or do they always interview 3Ls?

Anyone heard about other firms who aren't officially recruiting 3Ls?

My stats are median 1L, high stone 2L, offer from V30, PBK from prestigious undergrad, and note to be published. I am not interviewing with Cravath bc I heard they call your summer firm to check if you have an offer before giving a CB, which is too risky from my perspective. What are your guys' stats?
Where did you hear that Cravath calls your summer firm? That seems unrealistic. Most firms likely wouldn't comment on your employment status anyway. I hope they don't do that, as I interviewed with them today.

seemed like skadden had a full schedule today, hopefully that means they are serious about hiring 3ls!

How many 3Ls did they interview? I didn't see many around.

I heard about it on this board and then confirmed with OCS that Cravath does in fact often do this, usually before they give a CB. OCS offered to discuss the pros and cons of interviewing with Cravath given this fact, but I just decided it wasn't worth it. Other firms will do it before they give an offer, but that is okay with me.

Looks like some 2Ls are getting Cravath callbacks. Does the fact that they contact your 2L summer firm mean we should expect not to hear back for a while?

Re: Cravath calling your summer firm, how much do you think it harms relations with the summer firm?

Also, any other firms that do this?

It is probably pretty bad all things considered especially if you dont get an offer from csm. Has anyone heard anything from anywhere yet?

Why is it pretty bad? Not doubting, just wondering more specifically what this is based on. Would the firm actually revoke your offer? Or just be more chilly toward you?

How could it possibly be a good thing to have your firm find out that you are interviewing elsewhere? I doubt they'd revoke, but I could see a very chilly reception were you to later accept.

2Ls have heard from Skadden. In general the longer the time since the interview, the less hope there is. We have no idea how many people they are planning to hire. It could easily be that they will give no CBs to 3Ls at CLS at all, but I'm hoping that's not the case!

seems really weird that they would create a schedule and then not call anyone back, but I guess anything is possible. I agree that the longer it is, the less likely it is that they'll be calling.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
