did anyone get a call back from Mcdermott transactional or Chapman and Cutler interviewer AE.

What's the deal with the limbos? I see CBs and Dings have gone out for some of the NYC firms I interviewed with, and I didn't get either one. Is this common?

should we be sending emails to our interviewers letting them know when we'll be doing our callbacks (in situations where we scheduled with the firm's attorney recruiting department)? that seems like overkill to me.
