Top 1% at Brooklyn - What is realistic for me at OCI?

I'm a white male with average aesthetics, social grace, and softs - but I've got over a 4 GPA and Law Review (no moot court). BLS has an unlimited bidding system so I'll try to interview as much as I can.

Will every firm at OCI grant me an interview? How many callbacks should I expect? Offers? What spot on the Vault rankings would you guess I'll end up, approximately, if at all?

DPW is out if you are only of average aesthetics.

What's a BLS? You have a shot everywhere but not guaranteed of anything. Maybe look up alums at the various firms you are interested in and ask for advice.

Yeh.

There are some top, top firms that are interviewing at my school (i.e. Skadden) but IDK if they're there just for show, or if they're trying to boost their diversity by recruiting minorities...I just keep thinking that even though I did well there are so many other, much better law schools in NYC for them to choose from. Is that how it is?

1. Look at the firms coming to OCI.
2. Look at the firms websites and search for alums of BLS.
3. Know that BLS alums end up at these firms, albeit in smaller numbers than NYU or Columbia or Fordham. Make a note of the firms with more than one or two BLS alums. You can think of these firms as "BLS-friendly" firms that you will have a better shot with.
4. Apply everywhere else you're interested in via direct applications.
5. ???
6. Profit.

Top firms have cut back on recruiting at T2's, but I can't imagine #1 at BLS can't get a V10 firm. There wasn't anyone below Fordham in my summer class at DPW, but I think pre-ITE they did hire some from the lower-ranked NY schools. Now that their class size is back up, you might have a shot there. Sullivan might actually be a better bet here, they would rather get tippy-top people at places like BLS than dip below the top 20% at the lower T14. Skadden, Weil, etc should be in play.

How did you get law review at BLS when the journal competition results will not be released until late next week?

This. S&C typically has at least one summer from BLS.

I would presume he's given a spot automatically given his grades.

Agree. SullCrom is definitely doable.
