Resume Collection

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Jul 04, 2012 11:43 pm

My school's OCI bid list has several employers who are collecting resumes. Generally, do people receive interview requests when the firm or agency is only collecting resumes, rather than conducting interviews on campus>?

As always, it depends. If you are better than most of that firm's applicant pool, then I would expect to receive an interview through the resume collect. If not, then no.

I got two interviews through my school's (T20, Top 5%, no journal) resume collects last fall. I would certainly bid if you are interested in any of the firms.

Is there a point in bidding a resume collect firm higher than an on campus interviewing one? Basically, do resume collect firms receive every application or is there a max they get based on some kind of bidding formula.
