I have some informational interviews coming up. For those of you who have done these before, and have had them lead to CB - does it happen naturally, i.e., if they like me, I'll be asked back for an interview, or is it something that I would bring up at the end of my visit?
Thanks in advance!

Depending on what you are. If you are a 3L do not expect a callback now. If you are a 2L you need to be with someone who is a higher up in order to pull a callback.

Sounds about right. 3L hiring seems to depend on the result of 2L hiring at many firms. For 2Ls, someone on the hiring committee would be able to give you an interview. But for the original question, it comes up naturally if they want to recruit you.Anonymous User wrote:Depending on what you are. If you are a 3L do not expect a callback now. I asked for honest input on my proposed application strategy (e.g. would it be annoying to recruiters if...); the partner I was having lunch with picked up on that and said I should just come in to meet with the people in her office "you know, to skip that screener step."
