Hey guys - I've heard some conflicting advice regarding the Bay Area Diversity Career Fair. Would love to hear from people who have been through the process or are otherwise knowledgeable.
Does it hurt you at all if you're not "diverse?" I didn't have anything on my materials which indicated any diversity/relevant membership in minority organizations, etc. I still got a couple pre-selects. Is it safe to assume these employers saw I'm not diverse in any way and selected me regardless? I was told a lot that a lot of non-diverse (white) applicants attended previous BADCF fairs with success, but I'd love to hear your experiences.
Thank you all for any anecdotes or thoughts you can offer.
