Just got Latham around 9 (jm)

Voicemail said that hiring committee met and just got out, so I assume most people are going to hear back sometime tomorrow.

All NYC:

Davis Polk & Wardwell - don't remember, added via H.S. and didn't get a card
Debevoise & Plimpton - JJ, and was told specifically that other interviewers would call NO EARLIER than tonight
Goodwin Proctor - BH
Jones Day - EE & RA
Latham & Watkins - CML
Ropes & Gray - SS
WilmerHale - AS

Dings from Crowell (CS) and Shearman (CS).

The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agley.

In other words, don't worry: all will be well. Deep breath, regroup, don't panic, and keep trying; you're having a tough time now, but you're still at one of the best schools for this profession. You'll make it.

I have 14 so far and want to know if that is the most.
That is not the most
Yeah, I have 18 or so, but I don't plan on doing about 4 of them so I guess it technically equals out.

Good luck everyone.

+1

I'd hold the bragging and humblebragging for a few pages/days so you people stop shitting down the throats of posters who just got gutted by this process and want to get advice/need to vent.

Seriously what Picco and the above poster said times a million. This thread is really good for information and it's obnoxious when it gets clogged with humblebrags/rampant sarcasm and insensitivity.

For the person with the Goodwin cb--when did you get it? Recently or last week?

I never got a call from them, but my email came on Friday.

ETA: Though I just realized that said email says, "Dear ____, we enjoyed meeting you at the Cornell interview program." Nice attention to detail, GP.

I got a CB from Pillsbury earlier today. Don't remember interviewer initials though. Silence on all the others for me.

I have friends who got callbacks from Milbank and Fried Frank today. Don't know who their interviewers were.

Is it reasonable to be giving up yet? I thought the general consensus was that firms are on all different schedules and that CB's might come days after EIP.

No. You're right about that being the general consensus.

I believe last year it was something like 8%.

I know that 85% of people in last year's class got offers in total. I believe 92% of people got offers that actually tried.

G-OMG you guys please stop panicking. Do not think that all calls end by the time EIP does. CLS 3L here to calm the masses. I got calls through the end of the week, and I think that my last callback call came in the week AFTER EIP. While it's true later calls might mean that you weren't the top pick, but an interview is an interview. And Career Services probably has told you this, but it's true. Don't accept callbacks to places you have no intention of working, because someone who actually would could get that interview. Obviously different story if you want to see what it's like there, or don't have any offers, yadada but there are no prizes for going on the greatest number of callbacks, you can only accept one offer.

And it's true some people will strike out at EIP, but the vast majority of ppl I know got multiple offers.

Has anyone heard from any of these?

Bingham, New York, BK (I heard of one person getting called Friday night)
Allen & O, New York, JH
Latham Chicago
Greenberg, NY, MS (has anyone heard by phone, in addition to the spot callback mentioned earlier?)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
