Have ties to the deep south, but no ties to Atlanta in particular. Would Atlanta firms be receptive of people from the south in general? Would it be worth mailing them, or bidding the handful of firms that show up to OCI?
I'm already planning on mailing / bidding 3 places - my small home market, the medium-large market where I'm working this summer, and the primary market where my school is. Would adding Atlanta be too much? Would Atlanta firms be turned off by me applying other places (or, alternatively, other places be turned off by me applying to Atlanta)?

Ties to the Deep South are fine. Don't tell ATL you are applying elsewhere/they won't care. Good grades you will be competitive.
