Re: V10 Associate Taking Questions
Do you feel that you actually have better "exit opportunities" than friends at say V20 or V40 firms? If so, could you try to elaborate on these differences?

How often do you go out and grab drinks? Are your coworkers social? Do you make time to workout?

Just based on the clients we keep and the name recognition of the firm. Also, the notion that I can lateral into partnership at a less prestigious firm is very much alive as I get more senior.

About once a week. Sociability varies from associate to associate, but it's easy to find social associates if you want to socialize. No.WODKilla123 wrote:How often do you go out and grab drinks? Are your coworkers social? Do you make time to workout?

What makes you think you can do this so easily? And so if a V40 firm has desirable clients then you would say it's not that big of a dropoff?Anonymous User wrote:Yes.Anonymous User wrote:Do you feel that you actually have better "exit opportunities" than friends at say V20 or V40 firms? Are you trying to make partner? If you're billing 60-70 hours/week, is that typical/average or above/below average? Is there pressure to bill that amount or higher?

Don't know. It's about average, but theres so much work to go around that there is a little pressure to bill more.AlanShore wrote:Are you trying to make partner? If you're billing 60-70 hours/week, is that typical/average or above/below average? Is there pressure to bill that amount or higher?

Re: V10 Associate Taking Questions
If you're billing 60-70 hrs a week, about how many hours are you working/in the office? In other words: what's your typical work week like?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
