Re: GW OCI 2012
Transfer student from T4 here, "transfer student" clearly stated on resume, as required by GWU CDO.
I only got 3 screeners, and one alternate
Kilpatrick Townsend - waiting on decision
MoFo - waiting on decision
Simpson Thacher - interview scheduled
Alternate - Ropes & Gray - tried to walk-in, but previous interviewee went over-time and the break time turned into a resume drop w/ no response.
I do have an interesting experience which I would like some comments on.
My interviewer requested an unofficial transcript be brought to the interview on Symplicity, but forgot to ask for it because the interview "conversation" began almost immediately following the handshake/greeting and continued right up to the knock on the door by the next interviewee. Firm swag was given, and I sent a "thank you" email about 1hr after concluding the interview. At the completion of the interviews for the day, I get an email reply with an apology and a request for my transcript since the interviewer forgot to request it at the interview. The interviewer wanted to meet if I was still on campus, or I could email it. Unfortunately, I was busy moving, so I didn't get the email until late that night, but emailed my unofficial transcript. Then I get a reply thanking me for sending the transcript.
Thoughts? Looks like a good sign to me. If I was an instant ding, why would they even care if they forgot to request my transcript? Someone tell me this is a good thing... this was from my first choice firm too.
