Re: 2012 Penn OCI Thread
I got 30, but only 8 of my top 11.
I'd be willing to trade 2 or 3 of my interviews for one of my top 11 that I missed--Arent Fox NY, Latham NY, and dla piper NY. PM me if you'd like to try and make a deal!

Did not bid on any of those or I would trade with you. 30 is pretty good! I wonder if there are more spots in aggregate this year.PennBull wrote:I got 30, but only 8 of my top 11.

I don't think we trade until after waitlist. But I'd love that CIA one.

25 interviews, with 18 of my top 20. Basically all NY.
Pretty happy overall, although surprised that both firms I missed out of the top 20 went so quickly

Math works! I just bid the few that were particularly interesting to me, and then bid based on interview size/estimated popularity. There's no real difference to me between X and Y firms for the most part as long as they pay market salary haha.r6_philly wrote:Did not bid on any of those or I would trade with you. 30 is pretty good! What firms were people getting above 20? I guess would be helpful for next year's class. I got 18 out of top 20, but only 2 above 20 (Cadwalader and Dechert)
And yes I believe trading is OK

Wow @ Latham. Only 8 slots, and after 20? Not bad not bad.

High demand apparently! I couldn't put them beyond the first four. Although if people are getting Cravath after 20 then I should have at least moved it down behind Skadden.PennBull wrote:

Same with Skadden although apparently I stood absolutely no chance bidding them in my top 15r6_philly wrote:I didn't expect to not get Kirkland and Skadden with top 10.dabomb75 wrote:25 interviews, with 18 of my top 20. Basically all NY.

Also missed Sidley even though I bid them top 10

Does anyone know how this waitlist works? I don't really get why anybody would be dropping firms between now and the end of the drop period (other than those who got offers from their 1L firms and decide to skip OCI, or public interesty types who decide to bail on OCI). Also, if for example I had Sidley at #10 and someone else had it at #11, does that mean I get priority on the waitlist?

Re: 2012 Penn OCI Thread
Is everyone actually ready to do 25-30 interviews? Maybe people pick and choose what they want. There already some empty spots on the schedules I am on, so I assume some people already canceled.dabomb75 wrote: Damn, so close.

Also firms may add spots if there is a high demand?
I don't think most 1L SA would get an offer before the schedule is final.

I'm definitely not doing all of mine, but there's no way I'm canceling any of them until I have an opportunity to trade some and do some 2-for-1 or 3-for-1 deals.r6_philly wrote:Is everyone actually ready to do 25-30 interviews?
