Has anyone who sent in their resume and transcript heard back yet?

Yes, it took around a week. Lots of schools are still working on getting gades back though, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's still really early in the process.

Not much news but I sent my first semester grades and resume to QE a few weeks ago and just got an email from them asking me to submit spring grades when they are available.

This is for the schools that Quinn is doing the new system of recruitment for, yes?

Yea.

To others: any idea what kind of grades at a T10 has a shot at a CB with Quinn? I've heard their cutoffs are pretty hard.

OP here.

Yes, this is for the schools with Quinn's new recruitment program.

I got a response to my initial email, which had included my resume and fall grades, asking for my spring grades. A few minutes later I got an email saying she wanted to recall that email (she must have seen the email I sent a few days later with my spring grades). Nothing since then.

When you all sent your grades, did you send a copy of your official transcript, or did you use an unofficial transcript? I'm assuming the former but hoping the latter.

Interviewer: "Do you have any questions for me about the firm?"
Law student: "Yes. If oceans were to rise, and cities were to fall, what would Quinn do?"

Then you both share a knowing nod and the offer is yours.

Do they want a cover letter or just resume and transcript?

Anytime that you email/mail/whatever someone/someplace for a legal job, you always include:

Cover Letter
Resume
Transcript

This really shouldn't require that much thought or concern.

Eh. In the email from the recruiter it specifically says "resume and transcript." I think you'd be fine leaving out the cover letter.

And then you're given Quinn swag in the form of knee pads!

Sooo... Should I apply? One downside of the new system for them is that the applicant pool is not limited to the people who used a valuable bid on them. I don't think I want to work there, but hey, it's a free bid. Is there any downside for me?

Don't see how it can possibly hurt to apply.

What value is there to you? If you have good enough credentials to get an interview at Quinn, then you will definitely have other options. Submitting an application when you have no interest wastes their time and yours.
